The church of Christ in Atlanta, Texas, met for the first time on November 5, 1937. Since then, we have set out to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in our community. Jesus said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:19-20)

Our Mission

Our mission at the Atlanta church of Christ is to provide a friendly and loving environment for all. Jesus taught His disciples to love one another; by doing this, the world would know they were His disciples (John 13:35). We place a great emphasis on teaching the Bible not only to Christians but to those who have the desire to learn more about the God of the universe. Also, we feel that children are essential, and God has given us the command to bring them up in the admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). If you seek a relationship with Jesus Christ, we encourage you to visit us. We hope you will bring your Bibles and allow us the privilege and honor of getting to know you.

I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me (John 14:6 NKJV).
— Jesus the Christ
